Saturday, December 17, 2022 - It’s nicely made, especially for the vintage; but like so many 2019s it taste generically of nice, ripe, plummy, well made solar vintage burgundy. Is it a touch fresher than a $40 Marsannay? Sure. Is the gamey-plum profile more Morey than Chambolle? Sure. But at the end of the day, I could slip this into a tasting of $40-50 bourgognes from good producers and it wouldn’t stick out. Ripe vintages blur terroir; this is no exception to that rule.
