Monday, December 26, 2022 - The 2019 Brenntal Merlot Riserva is rich and savory, with a woodsy mix of black raspberries, shavings of cedar, sage, and a dusting of cocoa. This floods the palate with silky textures and ripe wild berry fruit underscored by saline minerals as sweet tannins add a tactile sensation toward the close. The 2019 finishes with medium length and lightly structured leaving inner rose and a salty flourish to linger. Enjoyable today but with medium-term cellaring potential as well
