Saturday, December 31, 2022 - Unmistakably Syrah on opening, this bottle mellowed toward the sensitive, as opposed to overpowering, side of the grape's tendencies. Decanted several hours before serving, the peppery notes took a while to emerge but the wine always continued to say "Syrah" as opposed to "SYRAH!!!!" A nice complement to roasted beef tenderloin.
