Saturday, October 1, 1988 - With MPL at London Wine Bar after work. Dark ruby color. Rich nose so characteristic of this vintage. Like fresh cut flowers; very attractive and open. A bit disappointing in the mouth. Bitter tannins obscure the fruit now and threaten to overpower it in the future. Finishes somewhat unpleasant. 5-11-9-4: 79/100.
