Tuesday, February 14, 2023 - We’ve held on to this wine for a few years, mostly because I loved the label and didn’t want to drink it! I had low expectations which were far exceeded.

Lovely thick golden hue showing some signs of age.

Powerful aromas of honeycrisp apple, smoked honey and stone.

Palate is rich and full with pronounced acidity and bourbon-like warm alcohol.

Flavours trend towards ginger and tart green apple with burnt butter. Sounds negative but all balances well.

Excellent length. Drink now.
