Sunday, February 19, 2023 - Tasted within a flight of the 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintage. Color of the 2014 was the darkest of the three vintages. Not a surprise considering that it is the youngest. Dark deep black color. Initial nose had a lot of oak notes. Heavy oak that hopefully mellows off over time. Surprisingly upon the first taste, it was not very tannic. Fruit is very primary at this stage but I can tell that this has good potential if aged properly. If this had more age, I would probably select this one over the other vintages, but at this point, I prefer the 2012.
