Sunday, February 26, 2023 - In my cellar for the last 15 years. 14.9% ABV. Double decanted 4 hours before tasting. Way better after the time than when first opened but just an amazing wine. The nose is enthralling with so many secondary and tertiary notes ranging from prosciutto and smoked meat to leather and tobacco. This is a wine you could just smell all night. Palate is silky and deep with black stewed fruit, raisin and dried cherry, leather, tobacco, cedar as well as sweet and savory spice notes. Very complex and delicious. Richly textured. Moderately long finish.
