Wednesday, April 12, 2023 - Wow. One of those wines that renders you speechless for a time.

Even now, a day later, reading my notes is a thankless task. This wine is big and bold, but so much nuance. It unfurls in the glass like a forest of dark cherries and blackberries, but with mushrooms and forest floor, and cold slate. It tastes like a molecular gastronomy creation of cherry and raspberry, with the darkest chocolate and a dusting of dried mushroom powder. But it’s wine, such perfect, perfect wine.

It is perfectly balanced, utterly complex, and it has a long finish. It pains you to see the bottle empty. It’s a knockout of a wine.

It is going to last for a long time yet. It has all the alcohol, tannins, acidity and fruit concentration to go a long time yet.
