Thursday, May 4, 2023 - Drank over 3 nights. Started off huge and inky black still with a lot of power and sweetness, dark fruit, herbs, tar, candied overtones fr the heat of the vintage and in the direction of an amarone or a big CA zin. Yet for all the big fruit and flavors coming at you, it was still all in balance and felt like a hot day in Provence in a glass. The wine mellowed out nicely over the next 2 days and was still holding together well as we finished it.
