Saturday, May 16, 2009 - Pop and pour, with half in the decanter and half remaining in the bottle. While Rose liked the strength of the undecanted portion, showing younger with more of an alcohol presence, I thought that the decanted or vinturi'd portion showed fine-grained tanins that provided a nice muscular depth and complexity with the ability to age for years. The wine really developed during a 4 hour window into a gorgeous wine.
