Thursday, June 15, 2023 - EYE: Substantially copper-colored, shrouded in bright brass tea. NOSE: Strawberry jam on hot asphalt. Surrounded by balsam shadows of dark chocolate and lemon peel. There are courteously long departures of nuts and cardamom. MOUTH: unexpectedly robust, tannic/bitter, and weighty in texture—so I say based on the same line-item bottles that shipped a few years ago; with slightly different package art fwiw. Where this item excels is in its declarative stance. It's boldly concentrated, with flavor and aromas of cherry jam; tonic; eucalyptus coulis, briney moss on chalk. This bottle has been open over a week. Sometimes it gets in its own way, and that works.
