Friday, May 22, 2009 - on opening it had a wonderfully rich nose, tons of red fruit on the palate and strong acidity.
decanted for 2 hours. some of the red fruits have faded, but the cherries are really prominent. on the palate it is really butch, still got good tannins. is this what is called austere?
i think i'll leave for a couple of years before going at the next bottle, there's loads of time in this.
