Friday, June 23, 2023 - 1 hour decant, served in the high 50s F. Lovely ruby color. Nothing about this wine says Margaux, but it is a very very nice wine, with room/potential for improvement with age. Subdued nose of black fruits with cocoa and vanilla notes, and a bit of cedar gradually emerging. Savory rich cherry fruit on the palate, with notes of blackberry, tobacco and clove. Full-bodied, with soft tannins, and a grippy, lingering finish. Great QPR.
