Sunday, July 16, 2023 - I find the 2016 vintage to be sublime, but in this case I think more time in the bottle will improve this even more. On opening floral notes and black cherry (almost cola). After an hour this rounded out into a tasty and smooth black cherry and plum dominant palate, with rose, coffee and tobacco secondary notes. Fair bit of oak on this but super elegant and smooth, so no complaints about this. High quality though pricey, but I think it will get better. Easily has a couple of decades to go.
