Thursday, July 27, 2023 - Classic Hunter River Burgundy nose. Light to medium-bodied, tertiary notes now predominant - cloves, mushrooms, earth, sit on top of red fruits. Fine-boned acidity drawing nicely through the palate. Nicely balanced. It's at a plateau or on a gentle decline, but it's quite a good Hunter River Burgundy given it's an 03.

From a bottle with good fill, no leakage in the cork but crumbled on extraction. Tasting note recorded 2.5 hours after opening, with wine in a decanter.
