Thursday, June 29, 2023 - From a small capped bottle (wine divided for zoom tasting). Nose is deep and savory, dark blackberry fruit. Some green pyrazines, green pepper a bit of cassis. Palate is tart green, savory, a bit overwhelming sour on the end and finish - a bit bitter. (Not sure if the Rieslings we had affected my palate). Nose - 5-5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15.5-16/20.

Day 2: Day 2: nice and herbal with some tobacco and a dark chery core behind that. Some dusty minerality. The palate is smoother tonight (possibly last night my perception was a bit off due to the Germans including the 21 Giesela we had before the reds. Very dry and dusty, verging on a bit thin but stays on the right side. Light wiht high acid and graceful. Dark cherries and Tabacco and stony minelrity. Finish is dry and tart and herbal. Good length and on the slight side. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 16/20.
