Thursday, August 24, 2023 - Layered, complex, mineral, sleek, amazing. Bottle seems to have hit a really good stage of drinking where the fruit personality (yellow pear, pear drop) is still the star. Aromatic- floral, honeyed, fruited, shiny, The depth of off dry flavors extends to honey botrytis, toasted walnuts, and horseradish. Wears its beefy alcohol (14.5!) so well. The texture is sleek, not the commonly found Baroque weight. This feels Grand Cru start to long mineral finish. This is what all Pinot Gris should aspire to be.
