Thursday, September 28, 2023 - This was very savory with a wall of structure and no fruit to speak of on initial opening. Gave it 3 hours of slow oxygen followed by a 45 minute decant and it really blossomed, but I was worried there for a moment. I'd assume the previous note made the mistake of pop and pour, and this seriously needed air. Super light on it’s feet, fine boned structure, red fruit and tons of savory spice on the finish. This wine is in a lovely place, but it needs some time to get going.
