Saturday, October 14, 2023 - Patience required on this one as took quite a bit of time for the nose to come alive and when it did, the violets were harmonious and soft.

Wine structure was decent with tannins and acidity well balanced so can still go on with further cellaring. Had sparks of primary characteristics some fresh cherries yet it lacked the usual sweetness of ripe red fruits.

Tertiary notes evident towards the end, tea/sois bois on display.

Overall, pleasant but just lacked that little bit.
