Wednesday, October 18, 2023 - After my good run of northern Rhones this was a slight disappointment in spite of the vaunted vintage. Classic nose of olives and smoked bacon, great restraint on the palate despite the warm vintage. Mainly red raspberry and cherry fruit with a hint of blueberry. Some underlying greenness and rough tannins were two detracting things to me. Not as seamless as I would’ve liked, needs more time to integrate.
