Friday, November 10, 2023 - I expected this wine was likely too old and was ready to pour it down the drain. I’ve had and liked younger versions of this same wine. This was sitting in the back of the cellar.
It’s appearance in the glass was that of a younger wine with only slight brick showing at edges.
When first tasted it was not great. However after letting it sit for 30 minutes it opened up rather nicely. The tannins were integrated well. It was a soft and not very complex wine. Great QPR, yet not a wine for guests you like!
