Wednesday, December 20, 2023 - Much more mature and evolved than the 05 Butteaux drank next to this. Deep golden color. This started out with lots of botrytis - honeyed/tropical fruits with fairly muted nose. Thick, viscous, waxy midpalate.
With air, this transformed into more exotic fruit notes on the nose - persimmon, lemon cream, lemon merengue, pineapple with a saline streak. Palate became more balanced and structured.
Quite a few folks liked this at the tasting but personally think it would've been much better to drink this 3-5 years ago.
