Thursday, December 21, 2023 - Pretty wine, nice subtlety. I get barnyard on the nose, but not nearly as much green pepper as others have noted. More cherry and tobacco and a whiff of oak. The palate is silky smooth with cherry, ricola, dr. pepper, and loads else. Very complete and seamless, 11% abv, I mistook it for burgundy when tasting it blind. I think there’s upside in further cellaring but it’s so good now.
