Does not like this wine:

86 Points

Monday, December 25, 2023 - Interesting wine. Did not expect it to be this intense. A lot of oxidation. The color was light gold. The nose you could smell across the room, it was almost like cream liquor mixed with limoncello. There is some wood aging which shows on the palate, but it kinda tastes like savagnin trying to be hard liquor. I both dislike and enjoy this. Very interesting wine with a very long finish. Much better when had with old cheese as well as blue cheese. Curious to try more but I won't run after them

Edit: putting it at 86 instead of 92. After trying it again the next day, I can easily say I simply dislike this. It is extremely unique but not in way that makes you like it. I really tried forcing myself to accept it weirdness the other day and that I just wasn't used to this style. No, it's just not that good. All the flavors are out of whack and unbalanced and it just gets worse the more you taste it. Very obnoxious wine, that is very much not worth its price tag. It won't get better with age either

4/1/2024 1:02:00 AM - I'm fine with oxidative styles as long as they're well made. Aged Tondonia or Gravonia Blanco is amazing. This had an unbalance to it that just made it unappealing. I'm sure that some wines in this style are good. But this one based on my experience and personal taste was not.
