Thursday, January 18, 2024 - Opened beautifully, a touch of oak on the nose, a light footed elegant and very feminine wine initially that took on body over the first hour or so. Super, floral and expressive. This will be perfect on a summer day, but was equally a lovely after work thirst quencher. Only 12%. On the third hour it’s suddenly fallen away to being still expressive on the nose but otherwise rather thin and mainly tartaric acid in the mouth.
Overall, this is an aperitif wine, and needs to be swiftly consumed on opening- which it will be as it’s that sort of wine from that sort of place! Regardless of its shortcomings it wonderful to enjoy a wine from my home town!
