90 Points

Sunday, February 4, 2024 - Château Rauzan-Ségla 2014 (13.5% ABV)
56% CS / 42% M / 1% CF / 1% PV
Colour: dark, but not opaque purple
Nose: nice, but restrained Cabernet nose on black currant, but dominated by the flowery Margaux notes of lilies and damascene roses
Palate: initially, P&P at 15° C, pleasant on réglisse and again the flowery notes of lilies and roses, but after a while, very acidic and with quite harsh tannins. Not overly complex overall for a RS, but will be nicer to drink in a few years.
As we know, 2014 was not a Margaux year, but Labégorce, for example, performed better, at 40% of the price.
Give the wine a few more years in your cellar and try it again 2026 - 2036.
Actually 90 (-91), with potential up to 92-93
