Wednesday, April 19, 2023 - Wine Dinner #195, Harvey's Bistro, Fortitude Valley - Soldera Vertical 1983-2016. This opened wonderfully fresh and seemingly young with a translucent deep cherry colour and a fine nose of dark cherries, black raspberries, blackcurrants and touches of thyme and sage. The palate was deep and intense with many layers of complexity and structure. There is great persistence and density here which is an interesting comparison to the more transparent 2015 and 16. A wonderful bottle of wine that is seemingly ageless.
