Saturday, February 24, 2024 - Monumental Brunello. The nose is already extremely seductive with soft but spicy wood notes, lots of vanilla and fresh, ripe cherries. On the palate, the wine confirms this impression - initially a lot of delicately melting fruit, then slowly more and more spice, which in the centre is supported by a lot of tightly woven and already well-integrated tannins. Lots of power, lots of extract, very harmonious with a long, very harmonious finish, mainly on the spicy side. Already a lot of fun, but can easily remain in the cellar for a few more years.

Even better ob the second evening: Still fresh with the great tannic structure, but now with more melting, hints of chocolate and orange, adding more complexity. Great.
