Friday, March 15, 2024 - Young BaBa 2014-2019 theme dinner at Duomo. Tasted blind. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of ripe red cherries, deep strawberries, red plum. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), medium+ tannins, just about full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of ripe but pure red cherries, mix of red and purple plums, deep strawberry, sweet red licorice, light spices, fresh minerally earth undertones. Long finish.
Very very good quality. Acidity not the best, but all is forgiven when the purity of fruit and depth of flavour is all there in such a nice overall package. Drinking admirably pleasurably despite being so young.
