Saturday, March 23, 2024 - Decanted 2 hours. Nice oily dark purple/black colour. The nose has dark fruits, leather and a touch of spice. The expansive palate has lots of smooth sweet dark fruits and leather, with wood spice and crushed rocks on the finish. It's got lots of plush upmarket gluggability but nothing really wow. Very well made, though, with no rough edges. Definitely benefits from a decant as it was still tannic on opening. I see no need to hold if you have a decanter.
