Monday, March 25, 2024 - Parents wedding anniversary 2024; 3/22/2024-3/25/2024: Parents anniversary supper, 8 courses, 7 wines.

Wine 7: Thunevin-Calvet Maury 1975.

Paired was dark chocolate.

This was the most unique wine we had. Dark and cloudy brick color. Nose of chocolate and candied orange peel. Very port like but with a lot of acidity. Palate has red fruits, raspberries, cranberries, blood orange, maple syrup, dried raisin, chocolate and some spice. Very interesting, crazy to drink a near 50yo wine.
