Wednesday, April 10, 2024 - Hari Raya dinner at Wimborne. Tasted blind. 1+ hour in decanter already. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean medium intensity, with aromas of dark red cherries, spices. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), structured medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, dark red cherry fruits, sweet spices, pepper. Structured long finish.
Very good quality. Has substance but a little shy at this young stage. More structure and stuffing than Prapo 2018 tasted side by side.
Day 2 opened up a bit more with classic sour red cherry fruit and gorgeous structure maintained.
