Saturday, May 11, 2024 - Inky dark in the glass, with an intense nose of plums, blackberries, and pout pourry. Nice acidity, full-bodied, with deep plums, bramble, dark chocolate, and black pepper. Tannins are still strong and chalky, and the ending is long and peppery with some oaky notes.
Very good wine, still showing young but definitely in a good spot. I popped and poured from Magnum, but next time I would decant for a couple hours. Dense, all strength, classic Cali Syrah.
