Friday, September 4, 2009 - I just had to get a sneak peak at the 07 Southing to see what we have in store for the future. Decanted this for about 4 hours. This doesn't appear to be quite as "big" as the previous vintages I've had in the past. The label shows only 0.2% less alcohol compared to the 06 and 05, which both list 14.7%. Shows nice black cherries on the palate, but is a little tannic and backwards. Extremely young and primary right now but there is really a lot going on and I think that given enough time, this will really become something quite nice. 92 based on potential.
