Unlike lots of other CA SB, the gooseberry/ammonia didn't leap out of the glass. There is a touch of residual sugar, at least weight-wise, but not enough to be considered off-dry and the acidity cleaned it up quickly. Palate was weighty and balanced, the fruit persisting cleanly from the nose. I'm VERY pleased to have 4 more bottles left.
