taste: excellent medium feel with good tones of of red fruits, candied cherries, and a good helping of red licorice. Tones are rather surface on the palate and it isn't too deep. Good tannins bite on the back end

overall: a real shocker when revealed. This was very underwhelming performance, and this bottle just may have been caught at the wrong time. I'd certainly like to try this again in a few years to see if this was just a poor performance/bad bottle
