Wednesday, December 23, 2009 - Notes from day 2. Dark red to purple in color. Nose of black cherries, boysenberry, smoke, graphite, loam, some oak noted. On the palate more black cherry, black raspberry, a little blueberry sneaking in the middle, with fresh loam layer of earth, and tannin on the tail end. The finish was average and the tannins were a little tough for my liking. Good balance overall. Hold. 50+5+12+17+7
