Thursday, December 24, 2009 - One of my favorites. Upon opening, the wine had a rich oaky nose and tasted of vanilla notes and dense fruit. After an hour, the wine opened up, the oak became more integrated with dark berry fruit, spice and nice tannins as well as good acidity. lovely. ate with lombardos pasta and meatballs....perfect.
