Wednesday, December 23, 2009 - 14.3% alcohol. Light yellow color. Reticent bouquet that showed more oak than anticipated, with a touch of lemon zest framing the apple fruit. In the mouth, somewhat flat. The lemon zest note lifts up the palate a bit, but this is a bit plodding and boring, with good acidity, and a touch of heat on the finish. The oak is influential. Not what I expected or hoped from this bottle. B/B+
