Thursday, December 31, 2009 - Drank New Year's Eve after a wonderful meal at Nectar. Salmon tinted pink. Fine, fine bubbles. Forthcoming nose of cherry, yeast, milk chocolate, and anise. Rich palate of orange, cherry, creme soda (in a good way) and pear. Excellent persistence. Refreshing acidity. Lovely, lovely Champagne. Narrower bottle and maybe a tiny bit more ripe fruit than the more recent versions of this excellent NV.
