Tuesday, February 23, 2010 - Bought a case based on great experience with 2003 vintage. The 05 has blackberry, currrant, pine, and tobacco on the nose. more black fruit on the palate but thin with dusty tannin and bitter chocolate on the finish. A little off -- bitterness is medicinal as well and not real pleasant. still good. and better on the second day when bitterness receded.
