Friday, March 5, 2010 - Deep ruby color. Nose of smoked meat, violets, sweet blackberry, and licorice. Pure flavors of tart blackberry and smoky dried meat, The structure is somewhat soft, lower acid and tannin than finer examples of CdR. Good QPR, reliable. This wine will show well for another year or so (Feb. 2010).
