Monday, May 31, 2010 - Decanted and had with pork ribs. Colour is medium red with a light rim. Nose is beautifully complex: cedar, moss, forest floor. Medium body, very silky. Flavours of tobacco, red currant and plum. This is traditionally styled Rioja: very elegant, finess over power. Finsh was a bit short, and this wine did not have quite the same body as my last bottle. Not the sensation that the last one was, but still a delicious, sophisticated and stylish wine, at peak drinking.
