Monday, June 5, 2006 - Right out of the bottle there was an abundance of cassis and cherry. Modrate sediment, ver dark with no hints of bricking. Slight tartness that came on after about a minute in the glass. The tartness never really dropped away, but after a few hours in the decantur it mellowed significantly. A very decent bottle, maybe a little past it's prime. This was not his "Winemaker's Reserve", just the normal cab which was purchased from the winery a month ago. Drank as an experiment to see how his cabs will age. Looks like it is typical for a mid to upper range Cali cab.
