88 Points

Thursday, September 2, 2010 - much more structured than other Lorings I've tasted. More tannin, more acid, but the same intensity of fruit. Flavors of mud, roots, ripe berries, and blackberry-rhubarb jam (or what I imagine blackberry-rhubarb jam to taste like). Very good. 88-89

EDIT: Day two. Like most Lorings, I find this not as good on day two. More bitter, with a dusty component and more prominent alcohol (fruit has probably faded to the background). I don't know how many times I have to make a mental note of this, but I'll do it again: "finish the night you open, ya goober."
