93 Points

Saturday, October 9, 2010 - decanted for four hours, utilizing a funnel. The colour is classic Barton; violet and garnet core, with a lessening rim. Blackberry, hot rocks, tobacco, rose petals and light vanilla bean. Still tight on both the palate and aromatics. The Las Cases (96 pts) is even more open than this youthful Bordeaux. Despite the unyielding qualities, This is still enticing. Elegantly full-bodied and a thirty second finish with classicism and authority. Roundly soft tannins that still have grip. I suggest waiting for some time with the ageless Barton being as backward as it is. Drink 2015 -.
