Tuesday, December 21, 2010 - Palish crimson, tawny towards the rim, medium intensity, clear. The nose pronounced sweet American Oak, not overpowering just intense. Red fruits, sweet spices and leather. The palate awash with sweet, rich strawberries and ripe plums. Christmas spices and cloves. Moderate and well intergrated tannings with good acidity. This was an excellent bottle of wine, multi layered, multi faceted with a long finish. At its peak but a good year or two, perhaps even longer, ahead of it.
