Saturday, January 15, 2011 - Bordeaux night in San Antonio (Home of David B.): Second time having this wine this year, with similar results, but this bottle slightly more forward. Decanted maybe an hour before serving. Great nose that was slightly tarry, with mint/eucalyptus and red berries. Lush palate, with slightly austere tannins still present. This leaves the palate slightly dry, but with a wonderful finish of tobacco and leather mixed with cedar spice. A lovely Leoville Barton that really needs a few more years, though enjoyable now.
