Friday, January 28, 2011 - Golden amber, clear with a bit of sediment. Nice, refined and balanced with bouquet of dried coconut, clove, well integrated oak, minerals, dried lemon balm, sweet cream and diesel-like terpenes on the midpalate which leads into a rather long, mineral and spicy baked apple finish. A richness that has come with age defines this Puligny, which has a hint of sherry along with complex floral, mineral and honyed flavors which lifts the last bit of stone fruit and roasted coconut finish that comes out on the finish. Supple yet sturdy, a study in 15 year old white Burg. If it's a take it or leave it, I'm taking ALL of it.
