Thursday, February 3, 2011 - The wine does not have the varietal character of a syrah. Maybe this is what Texas syrah tastes like. There is a plastic, band-aid type aroma. On the palate some cherry, and red raspberry comes through nicely. Not much depth of flavor but it is pleasant. Finish is dry and has a burst of fruit then drops off quickly. ($8)
